I was told i would have a regional account where i can come home every weekend before i took the bus to a terminal for training. Now here i am about 800 miles away from home, missed christmas, new years and my birthday ive been on the road three months straight and theyre saying i can only do 48 states.

My trainer was an owner operator and was a real *** to me for grinding gears when i first started. He would even tell me to MOVE instead of saying let me drive for now. I tried to get off truck but never got routed home or to a terminal. Then on top of that he never let me practice backing which is about 60 % of truck driving.

I thought this was a friendly industry but its nasty, u cant bathe u deal with your companies neglence and ***, and you will not get routed home easily. Its like they want u to live the whole year in truck. Im saving to go to school. Warning to those who are planning to start a career in this industry.

Once they get you from your home to their company grounds its over. You are now at their mercy. Trust me, i stayed in truck with this snoby greedy *** nasty smelly trainer while he got all my miles i made340 dollars a week after taxes and in the end when i was through they didnt want to give me a good truck, only *** trucks. And im now 800 miles away from home and have to take a *** greyhound bus for about two days because my student manager would not help me get a rental i even said i would pay the diference between the grey hound ticket.

Im not interested in truck driving now. Oh and by the way, i had to *** in bottles because my trainer wouldnt stop for me to use restroom. Once he didnt bathe for about seven days. It was so gross.

I hate this job. Good luck noobies and *** all you nasty assw truck veterans that sugar coat ***.

You know as a truck driver you get paid to drive a truck and travel, not stay home and sit around. Also, stopping to wiz is a huge waste of time, fuel and well just a waste of money for a truck driver.

How hard is it to *** in a bottle, whooptie doo. Saves 20-25 mins on hours of service, you get more miles and get to the next load quicker. I think you wanted a 9-5 job home on the weekends, trucking definitely isn't that. When I first started, I got all the facts before I started driving by talking to real truck drivers, not the people who just want your money or business.

That goes for any type of career, talk to the people who are actually in the career for the true lows and highs of the job. Sorry it didn't work out for you, but some of it is your fault.
