My son answered a Werner ad for drivers to train including tuition assistance. My son was acceped at the Truck Driver Institute in Indianapolis.
After sussesfully completing the traning and obtaining his CDL he was sent a pre-approved for employment letter and a stating date. One week before his starting date he was contacted and told that he had too many previous employers. The company had access to his background information for 4 weeks yet waited until a week before his supposed stating date to tell him. The driving school already had their $4800.00 and my son was left with bill and no job.
I spoke with someone from the school the first week and was assured my son wood have no problem getting job if he passed the course because of his spotless driving and criminal record. So much for that! The school has been no help. Well, what do they care, they have their money.
So, beware of driving schools that tell you there will no problem getting a job.
And beware of Werner ads!You may end up with a $4800 bill and no job!
