I ATTENDED TRUCKING SCHOOL AT MTC IN HazelWOOD,MO AND A WERNER REP CAME BY BEFORE GRADUATION PROMISING ALL KINDS OF THINGS that obviously didn't come true. Home time, mileage, mileage pay, ect.

When training started, they said 4-6 weeks, mine lasted almost 12. I was stuck with a trainer for all the major holidays, they wouldn't let me go home. The pay sucked,i was lucky enough to have a decent trainer but i still got screwed. Don't fall for the per diem program as a student.

It says that werner pays the first $25.00 of it but what they don't say is that it comes from your check.

What werner also doesn't mention is that if they pick up the bill for your student loan, they will take the payments out of your check, but you have to pay the first two payments or the loan company will call, send letters & harass you until you pay it. Their equipment is shotty, their qualcomms knock you onto line 4 when you are on line 3,& like other drivers have said in these articles, it takes forever to get a repair done.My truck # was 51212 and if any werner bigwigs read this, thanks for ruining my life.

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri

It's cute to see how drivers like to cry I have been with these guys for a little over a year now, I bought a truck from them after 3 months I am in my third one guess what, the other 2 are still rolling. It's not the company if you grow some balls and stand up for yourself they will listen if you just stand up and not back down.

I was well of as a company man now I am well off with my own fleet.

The same was with Swift I ran for them for 3 months and did just fine because I grew balls and told them how it's going to be. The only reason I left them is because I didn't have to wait as long to get a truck from them.

Sounds like a bunch of cry-babies are being hired by Werner and as with little kids, when you don't get your way, you kick up your feet, hold your breath, and throw a temper tantrum. Did you honestly think that the money was gonna roll in immediately?

Don't be so naive, this industry does not pay all that well and you saw dollar signs, stop your punk@***z crying, sit back and draw your pathetic unemployment checks, and just shut up, you are gone for a reason, lack of fortitude and probably intelligence to succeed at this job, and with this company. Please all of you whiny babies, SHUT UP.

Werner lies. It pays for trainees like crap.

You will be driving for 11 hours a day, 70 hours a week and just thinkรขโ‚ฌยฆ with NO overtime and No days off. You will make more on unemployment than Werner pays you. DO NOT DO IT, You will be shearing 8 by 10 cab, 24 / 7 days a week. The cab gets really small with some one that owns the truck.

I mean you have no say what is what. I mean you canรขโ‚ฌโ„ขt even go to take a *** when you need to. It ***, I know, I have been though it. At least 250 hours worth and I quit.

I could not stand the *** and mooning from them anymore. Werner really ***. DO NOT DO IT!!!!!

Any questions please email me kenisdreving@***.com Oh yea, time getting off for time at home? HA-HAAA

werner sucks as others prevously mentiontioned their pay is poor and they never keep their promises, they dont even give you one day per work off, if you go to work for werner be preparred for many checks in 250.00 range, rarely will you see checks in the range they promise (maybe one check out of five).

I spent one week on the truck, up from 4:30 in the morning to mid night every day. out of the week i eat 3 times all i could do was drink, did not shower for 6 days my trainer was rude and anger problems, if i was going 60 n the speed zone was 65 he would start shouting and screaming at me.

there is a lot on smoke and mirrors when it comes to this company... i am sure if DOT stop some of these drivers who calls themselves trainers they would make a lot of money on the tickets. there is a lot of unsafe practice these trainers do and werner need to look into these things. well it was fun while it lasted for me, wanted to try it again but that another story...

i will not tell anyone not to try this company but trust me most of the thing they tell u is not true...

may god be with u because once u get around that wheel u on your own... be safe

I just crawled off a Werner truck ! i started driving as soon as I met my trainer !

Second day I started at 5 A.M. and drove till 12:30 at night ! We stopped for a couple of bathroom breaks but I still drove for over 15

hours for the day ! The first week I drove over 60 hours and only got credit for 15 !

The second week ! I drove over 80 hours and the trainer never set up front with me , he was busy with a waitress he knew , kind of hard to drive down the road as someone is screwing around in the bunk behind you ! I only got credit for 15 hours the second week , not to mention I only got paid for 2 days ! I called my SDM and they told me I was on leave !

That they don't pay when you are on leave, my trainer sent a message saying I stepped off the truck and would be back in a week ! I asked about learning the Quallcom and was told that in the 3rd week I would learn more about it ! So I spoke to my SDM and they told me that I was astudent and i needed to quit crying because I was away from home ! That I should have not took the job if I did not want it !

I asked to speak to someone else and the hung up on me !

I called back and the hung up the second time ! I just wanted to be treated fair and be paid what the promised !

Your hours are also questionable because 70 hours (his) plus 15 hours (yours) is 85 hours which means the most he could have driven is 5 hours (85-80=5) and that means you wouldn't be logging any hours on line 4. It would make more sense if your trainer did what my 2nd trainer did which was logging my hours correctly but have me also drive on his hours.

While I had a decent trainer, I to was selected to drive for Werner after I attended a school in Nashville, TN. Instead of the promised training time, I was stuck in the truck for 8 weeks straight.

When I refused to continue on with additional training hours, I was put in a *** truck that I made two runs with and it was back in the shop at the Omaha terminal. My trainer spent most of his time in the bunk or on the cb. I drove from day one and had my full 371 hours in 5 weeks, even after being snowed in the truck for 4 days in Iowa. When I finally was close to home, I stopped found a local company to work for and sent Werner a message that I was bringing the truck back to the Indianapolis terminal, which I did.

Got cleared and caught a bus back to Nashville. A few days later, a Wener HR Rep calls me to tell me they changed my file from Resigned to Terminated/Not rehirable because I didnt bring a trailer from the Nashville trailer yard to Indy on the truck, basically because I bobtailed back to Indy.

I don't buy your story because your hours don't add up, especially with an electronic log. Werner had them 15 years before anyone else.

Both Financially and Skillwise. My trainer was always on his laptop playing a game, stopped at every casino along the way, did not do ONE safety check on the truck the 2 months I was on his truck, NEVER used any routing skills, and GPS was the only way he routed his loads.

I enjoyed the places I saw, but when you only send $140 a week back home after all the insurance, expenses, and taxes out of your $350 a week, it ruined my family finances. Trailer backing instruction was non-existant. The only way i got off the truck was due to a death in my family and even then it took Werner 3 extra days to get me "close" to home.

I ended up driving myself home. F Werner.
